That bizarre description must have cost the seller at least $500.

Mate rat droppings is in no way the most disgusting thing I’ve found infesting a used watch and in this case it’s just the box so that’s a win for the buyer imo 😀

Speedmaster ‘57 on bracelet going no reserve in the UK, one of the most attractive of modern automatic Speedys

https://www.ebay.com/itm/126030134640

Not sure why the seller has "Mechanical (Automatic)" in the description. The most recent '57 uses Omega movement 9906 which is hand-wound (Omega states they did this to get a slimmer case height of 12.99mm vs the trilogy '57 that was around 16mm high). 9906 is a co-axial column and wheel movement. This seller doesn't have a picture of the rear of the watch, which would clearly show this. The ref that the seller has listed uses the 9906, and not the 9300. I admit, however, that I do not know if the current 2 dial with date also had a prior automatic version using the 9300.

It's a beautiful piece and very likely one that I will eventually own, either in black or blue, so thank you for sharing the listing, @dsio .
