Great find, @Annapolis, glad you showed!
We have always kept this thread pure to Ebay and wonder if you are pioneering a new category?
Just to salve the skeptical, any info or connection to the 1916 folks?
Not judgmental, just keeping things simple and know little of the seller. Always eager to learn.
Ha—no, no connection, never bought from them. Did buy an Oris from watchbox back in the day (prior to the rebranding), and it was a great transaction, but I have no conflict of interest or anything like that. FWIW 1916co/watchbox is probably the largest luxury watch retailer and preowned dealer in the US?—a pretty well known site (around here at least), home to Tim Mosso and his review videos, and Jack Forster, formerly of Hodinkee.

I rarely post to this thread; only do when I find something that strikes me as truly special from a seller I believe folks can trust, and at a price that’s not stupid. (In the past I think I’ve shared listings from OCWatchGuy and maybe TropicalWatch?—I have no connection to any seller.)

The way I understand this thread is perhaps less literal to its subject line and more in keeping with what I think is its intent (?): to acquaint forum goers with preowned Omega watches on sale that are legit, from evidently reputable online sellers.

To your point, if this thread is truly restricted to eBay only, it might be nice to have a similar one for other non-eBay listings found by members—to include chrono24, perhaps. I know we have listings from trusted dealers in Watches For Sale; this wouldn’t be like that—it’d be more like this eBay thread. Good finds from the forum—and caveat emptor. (Lord knows, eBay is a minefield—caveat emptor always applies.)

Appreciate your concern. And your avatar/username tribute to John Candy—by my lights the greatest comic actor of his generation and dearly missed. (And not a shabby dramatic actor either—his brief performance in JFK, for example.)

We do!

All the best,
Huh—I had no idea. Though that one also says eBay/auctions. (I was thinking of non auction sales.) Anyway, this isn’t a hobby horse of mine. If forum mods prefer not to have non-eBay listings in this thread, I’m totally fine not posting them. Have plenty of other things to keep me occupied. 😀

Yea its fine, the only thing we really remove are enquiries, bad watches / deals, or self-promotion posts which all go against the spirit of the thread.
