Somebody replaced the date wheel with a standard date-at-3 disc. I'm hesitant to call the dial original. There's something about the inking of LONGINES and automatic that looks rough.

"Dial: Minty. Signed longines with rose gold lettering and rose gold markers. Original Longines dial repainted by Kirk Rich Dials (the best)."

Just another example of how eBay sellers believe that "original dial" means just the slab of metal. It can't be original without the original paint from the factory.

Not bad if bought for under $500. It's powered by a 50x series, a rebadged Record caliber 195x. It's technically NOT an in-house Longines movement even though they acquired Record in 1961. Still, a solid caliber.

Gents, I can't believe I'm gonna do this, but feast your eyes on this baby:

I've looked at it 4 times and if it's a redial it's among the very best I've ever seen. If it wouldn't nearly wipe out the home improvement fund I'd be all over it. The seller says "hole" but I think they mean "ding" on the caseback as I see it only on the outside and not on the inside.

With only an hour left, you might want to keep an eye on it.

Yeah, it ended with no bids. I think the seller was a victim of his starting price. I'll be waiting for it to be relisted.

Well, at least you know it has benefited from a quality service.
