Haven’t seen one of these in a while at a reasonable price:

1982 Hamilton GG-W-113, this is the hacking pilot watch. Lume on the dial and hands looks spectacular- usually these are pretty ashy. Case looks decent but pics suck of course. Not sure on crown- it doesn’t have the step like mine does but I have lost track of what’s correct and what’s not for crowns for each maker/generation. Seller doesn’t mention running but condition is listed as good and working so there is recourse. Strap is whatever it is, original military 16mm OD straps (yes, 16mm was correct even though the lugs are 18) are available on eBay for a Jefferson.
Asking isn’t bad at all for the cosmetic condition and has make offer.

Thanks, just got it for $250! I had an email alert set up, but did not have time to go through all of them.

Orange 666 reissue (although this colorway of black/orange wasn’t part of the original catalog, only the orange/white) LNIB. This is the newer 41mm case size rather than the 44 of the previous generation reissues, Price is cheapest I have seen for the orange- and in Canada so…how aboot that!

This looks like such a nice upgrade! I really like my reissue, except for the bracelet.

Does that flat link fit the 44mm models? And, did you just reuse the Bulova bracelet end links?

The 44mm case takes 20mm endlinks and the 41 takes 19mm. I have both 19 & 20mm endlinks for all my US bracelets (thank you US for offering additional endlinks as an option) so I can swap them around.
I never tried to swap bracelets when I had the coke bezeled OC (gave it to a friend) but I don’t see a reason why the US wouldn’t fit the same way.
The orange only comes on the rubber strap which I didn’t think suited the watch so just tried the US flatlink on a whim and it was perfect- endlinks didn’t require any work- they just fit like they were made for it. The Holzer would also work as the endlinks fit the same way. And the US tropic would also work for the period look as the OC’s came on either a tropic or the bullet bracelet.

Edit- if you want to get really anal retentive about the fit of the US endlinks on the 666 case, there are some slight differences between a factory fit bracelet like a minimal gap at the case and the case is more round at the top of the lugs where the bracelet slopes down earlier than the case…BUT, as a vintage bracelet lover, if the tolerances are close enough that I can’t put a credit card through the gap- close enough!

That's awesome. I'll have to give it a go before the summer. The reissue's been my go-to for swim lessons and hitting the beach with our son.

Oh- and unlike the Forstners, you can swap the beauty cover on the clasp and put a tuning fork on it to compete the look

Awesome! Get the US flatlink or the Holzer- game changer for this watch.

This is the endlink fit up close

And yes, this watch is ORANGE! It’s loud and proud- and is so much fun.

I guess I skipped that post.
And I got distracted, missed the chance too! 44mm is a bit like a hub cap on my wrist, 41mm would have been perfect…must keep eye out for another!

Usually 44 is big, 42 is my max. But the UFO case makes them actually wear smaller as the bezel is only about 41- that 44 is at the wrist and it tapers up. Plus since the case is actually rather short, the lug to lug is pretty comfortable.

For the communal knowledge, they did a 41mm LE of the orange a few years ago (the one above with the orange/black is the recent regular production one) which was more faithful to the original very rare orange dial OC which had orange with black/white on the bezel and had a Swiss movement.

It was a stunner with a gorgeous bracelet and what they did improve was that unlike the original which only came as a day/date, they did the LE with date only.

They were close to $2k when new and they hover around $1.2-1.4K when you see them listed for BIN. I have seen a few auctions on them close around $750-900 and have been very tempted…until the new one came out. They aren’t different enough to justify both but if I had found the LE for $700, it may have been worth the extra coin.

A beauty of an early-1950s bumper! Ornate lugs, texture dial with warm patina, dauphine hands, an original signed crown, 10k gold-filled case with an in-house bumper inside, all for a BIN of $250, and they're accepting offers!
