Those lugs are catnip, for sure. Dials like that have a lot to offer too, they catch light nicely and add a lot of visual interest.

They even have it on a nicely coordinated strap.

Sold for $400, that is the record so far- I paid $425 for mine without box.
So who is the winner?

Oh, and rendo- it is now your duty to share with the new Milships winner where they can get the good 16mm straps for it,

Not sure what happened with that first one, but it's relisted right away:

Yes, I can certainly take over the duty on the strap referral.

OF bargain alert, this time from our own @janice&fred - they have cobbled together another themed bag o’ watches- but these are very practical and fun.
Seiko trifecta- diver, chrono and silver sunburst, all on factory bracelets. This is a nice Seiko set for you, or keep one and give the others as gifts. Grab them before Janice smacks Fred in the back of the head for giving away the farm.

This is so very painful. I'm trying to rationalize this purchase right now. Anyone want to go in on it with me? (Perhaps someone near Baltimore who wants a vintage turtle?). I really just want that Chrono, lol.

The $400 Milships is back up if anyone wants it. 3 members (maybe more I don’t know of) including myself can attest to their awesomeness. But if you are looking for an “homage” watch to put your 20mm hand made pilgrim strap on, you need not apply- these are historically accurate with 16mm lugs…just like god and the US military specified.

Thank you for posting a reminder JDub...I completely forgot that I had made an offer because I've been too deep in the weeds at work...just logged in, offer was accepted, and I nearly missed out had I not ponied up the cash!

Considering the asking was already very reasonable, and I saw how many watchers it had, I didn't want to lowball too much and have the offer rejected, so I offered $390. Figured that was fair for both sides of the transaction.

Are we taking about the same watch? It’s still up.

OF bargain alert-
From our own @DeepBlue comes a lovely BWC chrono with denim blue dial. I really don’t know why this watch hasn’t sold:
Stainless case- check
Intersting dial- check
Bulletproof Landeron 248- check
Running- check
Buy the seller- check
The only reason I can see for it lingering is the slightly smaller size at 35mm, but notice that it’s all dial without a big diver bezel so will wear like any other dress/sport watch of the period.
Super watch at a great price IMO.

And this one is currently sitting in Customs...so much for trying to be good, eh?

Same seller...they may have posted it again because I didn't pay attention to the offer acceptance for a couple days. Fingers crossed they honor the deal, payment sent about half hour ago, so maybe they just haven't had time to pull it down. I guess it could get a little messy if someone hits the buy it now button...

A beauty of an early-1950s bumper! Ornate lugs, texture dial with warm patina, dauphine hands, an original signed crown, 10k gold-filled case with an in-house bumper inside, all for a BIN of $250, and they're accepting offers!

I picked this up for $200 a few days ago as my first vintage watch. Just wanted to say thanks for all the info on this page and I hope to add to the collection soon.
