After having bought 17 watches in the first half of 2022, I can't help but feel the watches up for sale lately have dried up, both in quantity and quality. I wonder if you guys feel the same.
It’s feast or famine. It really seems to come in waves and the tide has been out recently.

Nothing to lose with this one. If you buy it and find out it’s going to be too expensive to fix you can get a refund on the basis that it’s misdescribed in the title.
I think they refer to it as not working currently so not sure how you would return it unless it wasn’t a genuine Omega but my guess it is. Either way it needs servicing so add 5-600 if minor parts are needed.

I was making a joke. They describe it as a Jedi in the title. It isn’t, hence misdescribed.

Quite a nice looking Seiko World Timer going off in under 2 hours. Not an early version but I like these watches and they seem to be going up in value pretty quickly.

My only worry is that it doesn’t appear to have a valid serial number on the back but it might have been disguised.

I’m sorry, humour it not my strong point in a text written exchange. Not the square dial version but isn’t it also referred to as a Jedi?

Hmm, I checked that number on watchsleuth and it came up unfindable. Maybe I mistyped.

Apologies, wasn't aware of that rule, thank you for letting me know. I thought there was a posting glitch on my end before as I did not see the original post, but I'll delete this post.

I don't disagree that it's not historically high but from the others that are listed on eBay it was looking like a discount. Additionally that was the recommended listing starting bid.

I have firsthand experience with the actual market price for this reference. And the opening bid on this would be a fair sales price for a perfect example IMO. This one has a damaged dial and damaged hands.

Why post a watch in this thread based on comparisons with eBay asking prices? Asking prices mean nothing. And your comment about the "recommended listing starting bid" ... what does that even mean? Are you using this thread to promote your own listing? Really bad form. 👎

Yes, this listing is theirs and it is the second time they have tried promoting it.

Well, in that case, let me just reiterate that I don't recommend buying this damaged watch.
