Handyman special: Orvin chrome plated diver. I normally bypass these unless they are running, but this one has a great dial & hands, nice bezel and good looking case. Crystal is crazed (Generic for $10 will solve that) and movement is most likely a FHF or something similar which would be simple to fix or even swap for a whole movement from a running donor for cost of dinner...for one, without wine. Probably not worth a professional service, but great for the shade-tree. BIN isn’t bad for what it is, but has make offer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224380410316Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Stainless Roamer in the style of a C-cased Connie. ETA movement and in nice shape. 33.5mm so a touch smaller than a Connie, seller says recently serviced. He also has a few other interesting watches so worth a look at his other auctions. https://www.ebay.com/itm/265092218701Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
60’s Seiko’s seem to be falling from the sky Seikomatic Weekdater- this is a cool watch. Guessing early 60’s by the style and typeface. Love the day over 6 placement, and the whale on the back is truly awesome. Great size at 37mm. https://www.ebay.com/itm/294071255615Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
I’m not even looking for Seiko’s, they just keep popping up- these things come i waves it seems. Who knows what lurks under this nasty crystal- but I bet it would wet-sand out, and most of these Seiko’s don’t seem to suffer the same moisture issues that their Swiss counterparts do. Seller says it’s ticking- but that’s about as far as he tested https://www.ebay.com/itm/233934453520Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Classic Hamilton dress watch, in as found condition. This should actually clean up really nicely with a crystal polish and some elbow grease to clean the case. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384038940422Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
That one is a looker! Should be a stunner with little work. I do wonder where the screws came from....
I think that is broken pieces of the missing spring bar. Notice the spring bar still in place is of a larger than average diameter. NOS Russian spring bars are thick like this and I've seen large diameter spring bars on some very old watches.
Wyler “The Skipper” pocket watch, in box. This is a cool thing for the Wyler collector. Seller says running and has make offer. Would look great on a @DaveK leather lanyard. https://www.ebay.com/itm/164768460064Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Looks like a bargain https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Timex-Blue-Dial-Tan-Leather-Strap-Watch-/353424769481Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
No, I’ve an old Timex Expedition in the sock drawer if I need it Similar to the one I bought before I knew better but I have a weakness for tan straps and blue/black dials
1964 if the Seiko serial # system applies. The first 4 indicates the year of the decade. ‘0’ would indicate month, so October or November
I’m really surprised it’s still there. Champagne sunburst silver dial, twisted lugs, fantastic back and sharp case. If this were an Omega of the same vintage, it would be 4x the price
We got another D-day Benrus! Looks unused- has make offer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/254909946891Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
OF bargain Tank alert: If you have been intrigued by the tank style watches we have been showing here but found a Bulova or Benrus a bit pedestrian for your tastes, this one should cover you. Brought to us by @Paedipod , lovely 28mm Omega tank style with great angular case and lugs. This is a very modern take on a classic style and at 28mm, it’s not small for the style. Every collector should have at least one tank. https://omegaforums.net/threads/ss-omega-3971-1.128467/
Nice little stainless Wyler in box. Watch is well worn, but seller says running and hopefully only scratches on the crystal that will polish out and not cracks. Smallish at 32mm, but great for the smaller wristed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/154380986894Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Today is the day of the big tank- this time an iconic Hamilton TV case. We have a member here who grabbed the last one that popped up and it was surprisingly large if I recall. Price isn’t bad, it’s not perfect and has some dial spots but looks great and has original crown - has make offer. https://www.ebay.com/itm/133699578807Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
