·IMHO, you should buy on bracelet and try to get a deal on the strap, they might even throw it in for free.
My SMP is probably never gonna be on the market, crossing fingers nothing bad ever happens that I NEED to sell it, but if someday in the future I need to sell it, I think from a buyer standpoint it's gonna be way more attractive because don't forget: a rubber bracelet in 10 years, if worn often enough, might not look as good as metal might + a full set usually is on bracelet.
Anyway, that's my 2 cents.
You do you! 😀
This.
Some ADs might throw in a free strap if you ask for it. Worst that can happen is they say no to a free strap.
Buy the bracelet version and the original strap for like $310. If you buy the one with the rubber strap and then decide you want the bracelet, you'll be looking at spending around $750 for the steel bracelet. You'll probably only save a couple of hundred dollars at most but yes. IF you ever decide to sell your watch, you'll probably get more for it with the steel bracelet than with the rubber.
