What does your speedy spend most of it's time on? Mesh, bracelet or a strap?

here's my 69 on a JB mesh, 1171 bracelet and a custom barenia leather strap, absolutely love switching around all the time and the different vibes it gives to the watch. I'm always excited to discover new options as well!

 

Mostly bracelet, and specifically the ref 1447 bracelet from the 1990s. It's more forgiving of slim wrists than the modern bracelet - the end links don't protrude beyond the lugs.

I have a number of straps I've been meaning to try on it, including a double ridge alligator (pictured with Railmaster below) but just haven't got around to it yet.

 

1171 for me, it's the true hero amoung retro modern bracelets, doesn't wow you to begin with but you grow to love it like a less than glamorous woman with an amazing personality.

 

Where did you get that sexy beast?

 

I'm new to the vintage and my 145022-69 came on a newer 1171. Must admit I put it on the NATO right away. Also have the Tintin and have hardly used the bracelet.

 

2998.5 on a Staib 20mm heavy duty Milanese mesh. The bracelet end pieces had to be filed down fit the 19mm lug width.

 

IMHO, this is the nicest (and really hard to source) JB Champion to wear with a Speedie.

 

May be its a summer thing, but mine seem to have naturally migrated to a bracelet in some shape or form...

 

But I am quite partial to a nice bracelet anyway...

 

It somehow became steel allover with Speedies. Except for one classic brown leatherstrap to match them all I mostly use the JB ( and the spare mesh Forstner ) on the 105.012, 1039 on 145.012 and 1171 ( or 1175 ) on the 145.022.

 

10€ from ebay nato. Soft leather, best strap ever[emoji6]. Even omega logo can be put on, or whatever you want.

Depends on the Speedmaster.

CK2998 works best for me on leather.

Gemini 4 works best for me on original bracelet.

Ed White works for me on flat link or JB Champion bracelet. But prefer JB.

Mark 3 best for me on mesh.

I have tried all different configurations on these watches. I even tried NATO. No fan.

As I write this I realize I have not tried leather on the Mark 3, so I will give that a shot.
