Recommendations on Tank style Omega

My daughter has expressed interest in a vintage omega 'tank' style watch. While I am leveraging my google-fu, I thought I would also leverage the vast knowledge here as well. Specifically, ones to look for (or ones to stay away from) and sources where I might find a good recently serviced one that won't break the bank considering I just bought her a new DeVille for college graduation (<1000'ish parameter). Both of my kids have the bug... :)

Gold, stainless steel, gold-filled?

Automatic, hand wind?

30s, 40s, 50s, 60s...80s...?

Yes? Pretty open hence the ask for recommendations on ones to look for or ones to stay away from. If there is a good reference online a link to that would be more than appreciated...

I’ve owned a few quartz examples from the 70s and 80s which are fun and not too expensive. Never had any issues with them.

The biggest issue with old tank-style watches imho is that the dials often have damage because the cases aren’t sealed very well.

Just bought this little beauty for the other half. Waiting for delivery. Love the striations on the dial looking forward to seeing in person. Quartz movement (which was one of the requirements, set and forget). I'm assuming gold plating, maybe capped (Hope so). I'm assuming mid 80s maybe early 90s. But.really have no idea. It's small at 18mm. If anyone knows model number I'd be love to know. Also I think was a bit of steal. So not seen in person yet but happy so far.

I am a square/rectangle/tank fan for sure -- as evidenced by the fact that I own 2 watches linked at the end oft his thread:

I would love to get my hands on some of the older models from the 30s as well, like the T17, etc.
