Looks good. Seems to wear slightly smaller than I would expect for that diameter (which is a good thing imo).

It's orange too, which is a plus. Good thing it's the good Syracuse (winner) orange and not that loser Clemson orange. 😉
Love orange. Just not “The Orange”

If finance is a must, then there is an AD selling online with a promotion of 10% off and 5 years IFC at the moment. Not sure if I can mention their name here without breaking rules and I CBA’d looking up the rules but if you PM i will reply with the link.

Personally I would save up and buy for cash. But that’s just me. One advantage of that is that you are jot comitting the cash to a particular purpose 3, 4 or even 5 years in advance, so if circumstances change in the meantime you're more adaptable. But that’s just a personal choice - not trying to preach. It is a high %age of salary to spend. But if it brings you happiness and it is something you’ve wanted for a long time then why not? The interest free option does make it much harder to negotiate with an AD. But if you buy cash there is quite a good chunk to be had off. A lot more than 10%. As you’re not after a limited production model, it might well be worth hanging on until they have a ‘sale’ with a bigger deposit you can still get 12 or 24 months low or IFC deals I’ve noticed. Maybe a happy medium?

All the best with your purchase and hope you enjoy it.

Edit: lol, should have read to the end before posting. I see you’ve pulled the trigger! Nice one. Congrats!

Sounds like you have a decent deal. The price with the 10% off seems very reasonable for that watch.

If you want the watch, I'd say you should go for it. Accept the deal.

Unless the watch is stolen, legitimate sellers cannot keep going lower and lower and giving you free stuff. At some point you have to be happy with the current offer, and you need to feel good about helping a legitimate dealer keep his business afloat. Also, in accepting the current offer, you're helping the next guy. Because if the dealer gets the impression repeatedly that buyers still balk when offered 10% off and free stuff, the dealer might just realize that the only people coming in asking for discounts are people who have no intention of buying anyway, so they might not offer a discount to the next guy.

I'm all for asking for discounts. And I'm also all for the buyer accepting discounts when offered. I'm a business owner. Every single day of my life people ask me for a discount. I totally get it. Sometimes I can accommodate, sometimes I cannot. My prices are already very highly competitive in my industry. If I offer any further discount and someone doesn't take it, then it's usually their loss.

With that said, there's no harm in asking for more. But you yourself said you can afford this purchase. If you ask for more and they say, "no" you should be prepared to buy the watch at the offered price.

Good luck! If you pull the trigger, post some pics.

Discounts can be had through almost any channel. Even if the price is already discounted. These are not hand crafted artisan pieces in single digit supply and double digit demand. They are mass produced comodity items - albeit very well made and nice ones. There is more supply than demand for all but the most sought after LE pieces.

I’ve managed a reasonable discount even from a Boutique, as well as an outlet store where the display item is already at a discount (Tag not omega here thiugh).

As a business man you’ll know that the opening discount in a negotistion is often not the point at which a further deal can’e be done. And if there is seriousness about intent then a 2nd and 3rd stab at a deal is not out if the queation. But establishing that with the other part and provingnit is in their interests is the hard part. It is all down to apparoach, negotiation and nerve. You have to compromise or be prepared to walk away, or at least delay the instant gratification. I was told recently that the lowest price was X, no possibility to go lower. I walked out. Got a call a few hours later and did a deal a enough with of additional discount to warrent wasting my time going back to the store. Part of the fun on pickup day 😁

Man come on. What you're doing is like walking into a smack den and asking fellow junkies if they think you should score.

This has to be one of my favorite posts ever! Hats off to you, sir.

Put n my watch winder last night. I know not everyone believes in their use, but if you do I can't recommend Wolf Viceroy highly enough.

Advice regarding the watch. I'm 6"2 so on my wrists it wears fine, but I believe there's a smaller model too.
I was worried before I got it on it being too thick, again for me personally it's ideal but it's not thin.

Same weight wise. To be honest I'm new to having a watch of this quality, so the weight of it feels heavy when you put it on, but after an hour you forget it, apart from keep looking at it of course.

All above is only based on my previous experience which only involved Apple Watches.

I looked at Speedmaster too, that's a nice watch.
One was Moonwatch & another chrono looked terrific.
I see the moon phase one, that looks awesome. Perhaps something for the future.

Buying it gently pre-owned will save a few pounds, so if you can wait and get it from a place like Watchfinder could be an option too.

I've had my latest offer, Inc a Wolf Viceroy watch winder and 10% off.
Ordered a new phone with delivery 13th November. I have iPhone X still currently & got an Apple watch series 4 costing £879 to go with it. Nice for sports I guess, but even doing that, can be very annoying.
So sent the watch back, pre ordered a new phone & getting a gorgeous watch to go with it.
So accept that offer or be cheeky. Please sir, can I have some more.
Get an MBNA credit card with 0% interest on purchases & then go looking for discounts from ADs instead of store finance based on full price.. I did this & got a brand new Speedmaster Moonwatch with a 20% (£700) reduction.
It's the way forward!
Edited to say - Damn, just too late! Enjoy the PO anyway.
