I've had my latest offer, Inc a Wolf Viceroy watch winder and 10% off.
Ordered a new phone with delivery 13th November. I have iPhone X still currently & got an Apple watch series 4 costing £879 to go with it. Nice for sports I guess, but even doing that, can be very annoying.
So sent the watch back, pre ordered a new phone & getting a gorgeous watch to go with it.
So accept that offer or be cheeky. Please sir, can I have some more.

I have no idea what your saying here.

I've had another quote. I'm wondering accept it or wait. That's all.

Sounds like you have a decent deal. The price with the 10% off seems very reasonable for that watch.

If you want the watch, I'd say you should go for it. Accept the deal.

Unless the watch is stolen, legitimate sellers cannot keep going lower and lower and giving you free stuff. At some point you have to be happy with the current offer, and you need to feel good about helping a legitimate dealer keep his business afloat. Also, in accepting the current offer, you're helping the next guy. Because if the dealer gets the impression repeatedly that buyers still balk when offered 10% off and free stuff, the dealer might just realize that the only people coming in asking for discounts are people who have no intention of buying anyway, so they might not offer a discount to the next guy.

I'm all for asking for discounts. And I'm also all for the buyer accepting discounts when offered. I'm a business owner. Every single day of my life people ask me for a discount. I totally get it. Sometimes I can accommodate, sometimes I cannot. My prices are already very highly competitive in my industry. If I offer any further discount and someone doesn't take it, then it's usually their loss.

With that said, there's no harm in asking for more. But you yourself said you can afford this purchase. If you ask for more and they say, "no" you should be prepared to buy the watch at the offered price.

Good luck! If you pull the trigger, post some pics.

Can't wait.

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing some pics posted up of the new watch.

PO 600m 8900 is an amazing watch. But I do not think it is necessary to use winder if it is your daily watch. this 8900 had a 60 hours power reserve. I prefer to ask for a spare omega rubber strap that you an enjoy two different feel. My 2 cents

Im 46 & earn 35k (Around 2k per month take home)

I have my heart set on an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600 43.5mm with the first 15 minutes of bezel orange.
It's £4650, meaning £400 deposit then 0% APR for however long up to 4 years.
I told them I wanted a Wolf Viceroy single watch winder with it & they've agreed. I left it & now they've said they can do some more, I'll know on Wednesday what that is.

I love this watch, may be trying it on went to my head I don't know.

I can afford the watch & any repayments, I just want your advice if you feel I'm stupid to do so.

I'm going to give you some advice here you won't like. If you buy this before you can walk in the door and hand over the cash, and negotiate a nice discount in doing so, you're being seriously unwise. Wait. Save the money up. That way, if something happens with your job, interest rates or rent shoot up, you have the cash and you've lost nothing. If any of those things do happen and you're on the hook for a watch which will realistically lose 30% of its value the second you put it on, then you're going to feel it. Trust me. I know.

It sounds like tgcarl has it under control. If tgcarl plans on losing his job, he's likely going to lose it. But if he plans on prospering, he's likely to prosper.

Plus, you only live once, and the watch isn't that expensive.

Indeed you do, and it's a lot more fun doing so when you don't owe anyone any money.

I guess you don't trust the OP when he says he can afford it, and will pay no interest.

In your worldview no one should owe anyone anything if they want to have fun? Well, try telling that to 90% of homeowners, and 90% of car owners. I could easily argue that owing people money is exactly how many people have fun, and live happily on a daily basis.

And I'm a fiscally conservative business owner with very little debt. (Paid cash for my business warehouse because didn't want a mortgage and didn't want to pay someone else rent, so I totally get your point.) But I didn't always have zero debt, and owing made me want to excel. 😉

Now, if tgcarl is deciding whether to feed his family or buy a watch, then that's a different story. But I trust from his earlier comments that's not the case.

I'm not trying to be argumentative. Just articulating the opposite side of your cynicism.👍

All totally valid comments. I'm just very much a fan of paying for stuff I don't *need* up front. I'm from the UK originally, and the number of people I see driving financed cars they couldn't possibly afford to buy otherwise, blowing a fortune on cards without repaying full every month...it's horrifying. Each to their own.

I'm going to store later to pick my watch up.
Beaveebrooks also knocked me a further £100 off.
I've sold all my Apple products. £4000 for a watch is high for me, but looking at it differently, I've spent that on 4 Apple Watches.
I think it was all leading to this, buying the most high end Apple Watches trying to compensate for not having the real thing.

I'll post some pictures later on.

That is one beautiful piece! Orange really pops. I was happy to see you pulled the trigger. That watch will last a lifetime; worth every penny IMO.

It's orange too, which is a plus. Good thing it's the good Syracuse (winner) orange and not that loser Clemson orange. 😉
