Looks better in this photo. The crown still appears to be a replacement as well as the handset. These hands would be fine for a -6 as Gemini mentioned.
I picked it up at a yard sale.....along with a vintage seiko.....

thank you for all of the input on this watch, very interesting.......

how would a person obtain a value range?

If you want to sell it, just run it on eBay or offer to an auction house. These don't come up enough to know an accurate price range.

You should also get an Extract from Omega.

The lume on the indices appears original to your eyes?

From pics only, I can not say.

New pics. Much better. Still not convinced about the Dial. I had 2 of these over the last 35 years. Both had Swiss Made under the 6. But with Omega,Rolex and others in the 50/60's, there was a lot experimental stuff going on. Great watch. Will not be much more expensive than a normal good example from that reference. Excellent find !

In the US you have to go through the boutique, though some will do it with a phone call and an email. Just call your closest and ask if they’ll order one for you with pictures by email, if they won’t call another.

Glad you got the extract! Mine is 17,330,101, produced July 1, 1960. This may explain the later style handset.

Which state did you find it in? Do you know anything about the background of the sellers?

Mine came from a Florida estate but I wasn't able to find out anything about the prior owners.

Thank you! I found it in Bennington Ne at a yard sale along with a “Pogue” Seiko which I gave to my brother, it needed quite a bit of work. Cool watch though
Mine had been sitting in a drawer for decades, the lady who had the yard sale was prob in her 70’s it was her late husbands watch.
I am not a watch guru, but knew Omega was a good brand……took it to Borsheims locally who verified it as a real omega.…..upon research my jaw drooped at what I had found…..
