Came across this article on the springbar (https://thespringbar.com/blogs/guides/omega-railmaster-a-collector-s-guide/#THE_DIAL). Looks like it has both achim/Davidoff Brothers example as well as another example from chrono24. These are the only two I've seen in addition to yours Mike. So it seems there are 3 known or internet searchable examples of this watch from a total of 10-50 that were potentially made. I'd say one of the rarest railmasters I've seen. Have you found any other examples beyond these two?

A nice article, thanks for posting the link!

I will add the other photo here as well:

I haven't found any additional examples, but will keep a lookout and update the thread accordingly. I have tried to contact the SpringBar directly via IG and Gmail, but I am now sure if they are still checking those addresses. It would be interesting to log the serial number of the C24 example as well.

If anyone here owns it or has it logged, feel free to DM me!

What do people think?

Would a later 7077 bracelet or early 7912 be more correct for this watch? July 1960 delivery.

From what I understand, 1960 all 7077, 1962 all 7912, 1961 overlap.

You might try getting in touch with C24 they may have an archive of the listing. Given how uncommon this watch is, it may be searchable for them with a few keywords.

Hello all, I am brand new to Omega, and brand new to forums......I recently stumbled upon this Omega Railmaster which appears to be rare. I have researched so much since I bought it almost a week ago. I am looking to see what the approximate value would be since it is so rare. I have only seen two others like it online, one of which is on this forum......any help is appreciated. It appears to be all intact except the after market band.

You need many more high resolution pictures. Inside case back. Writing under the 6. Movement with the number. So far from this one picture: Not genuine.

another.....

Thanks for sharing, you came to the right place. This looks like a mixed bag to me.

Regarding the dial, it looks like it may be a redial based on the few known examples. The few that are documented have flat top "A" in OMEGA. All the examples I have seen so far have SWISS MADE under the 6. Yours just shows SWISS.

However, your serial number is later than the other known examples, so perhaps the dial changed somewhat between these iterations. I don't know if it is the photo, but the printing also looks heavy.

The hands and crown are replacements. The caseback fits with what we know...these were all 2914-4. The movement also seemingly makes sense with delivery to the US.

The serial number is quite a bit later than the earlier known examples with number 17,883,858. However, Mr. Protopapas did mention there were several later runs of these Railmasters.

Do you know anything about the prior owners or history? Where did you find this?

I'm far from being an expert on the model, but am highly skeptical of the originality of the dial.

I believe the dial is genuine.
The “Swiss “ vs “Swiss Made” issue is also seen in both White and Black 2777-2 Railmaster dials.
The hand set, including the lollipop, is seen on 2914-6 Railmasters with similar movement numbers in Cal 285.

The lume on the indices appears original to your eyes?
