Hey Ash. Aren't the Flightmaster dials only FAP issue??
I thought the PAF had Seamaster dials?
You’re quite right of course, I mean FAP.
I bought that dial local to me, a guy phoned me up asking if I’d be interested in a sm300 dial and a flightmaster dial. I assumed he was taliking about a 70’s flightmaster so wasn’t interested in that but I was interested in the 300 dial of course. When I got to his house the 300 dial turned out to be a super luminova service dial but I was blown away by that FAP dial! How it ended up in a rural village in the ass end of the UK I’d love to know.

If at some stage it was bright, shiny and not nailed down, then some squaddie probably nicked it 😗

i have a good idea, how that happened: i`ve seen a few without outside back engraving. nicked from the airforce and " shaved " to be untraceable. then replaced the dial with a Railmaster dial and voila : the common Railmaster created, which was easier to sell in the late 90`s. kind regards. achim

Just got a new iPhone and I was thinking that would be interesting to look at that relumed dial ... now ... just want to find the artist who did this 😁

Comparing with a 14755 dial :

Pretty good job..

Gotta admit it doesn’t look like a relume job from the photos!

it really is a nice looking watch, and yes, even under a 15x loupe, it looks legit... I'll probably regret sending it back... 🤔

Could have been relumed by Omega in an 1960's service?

I hear that all the time, but I'm pretty skeptical about that happening...

it does absolutely BUT you will never be happy with a questionable lume that you have to explain... just my thinking.
or it has to be that cheap that you can simply wear as a nice beater and don't care
