Hello Folks

Was anyone watching the Railmaster eBay auction that ended today? I was interested but it seemed to have a number of issues.

The second hand seemed different than others I had seen of the 2914-3 reference but the second hand seem rather varied I had seen a similar arrow hand on a 2914-4 and the case back was hard to discern. The dial also looked to have some pretty serious radium burn. I sort of liked how "lived in" it looks for a watch from 57-58

What are your thoughts?

I think you mean 2914, not 2913 😀

It's certainly very tired and the case seems to have been damaged and massively over polished so it would have needed to be very cheap to make sense as a beater.

Oops! Can't seem to change the title.

I'd add that the minute hand looks to be a later replacement. There was a 2914 with a rare "railroad" dial that was much more attractive and interesting than this one and only sold for a few thousand dollars more.

Nice. That was on eBay as well?
