It’s never been a watch where the bezel is swapped by anyone but weirdo’s here…and it doesn’t even turn or function like a dive bezel.

If you used your theory Rolex should have a Coke, Pepsi, hulk etc 7 piece bezel kit in every Rolex box 🤪

I believe there was a time when the GMT-master used to come with an extra bezel insert but it can also be made up by grey dealers aftrwards ? 🤔

O.K. an intriguing question / suggestion, so checked around:
It looks like Rolex paperwork stated which bezel insert was originally sold with the watch but ADs often ordered all three inserts separately, adding these as part of the sale for recurring customers.

Edit: 16710A was originally a Coke, 16710B was originally a Pepsi, 16710N originally an all Black bezel.
