I think the Speed_Meister chop shop might be at Bukowski’s replenishing inventory.
I can't stop thinking about this any time I pull up eBay and see another midcase pops up.

The 2915-2 was pretty nice imho. Geigered a bit low but not too low to get doubts. Hour hand is obviously touched up but other than that it feels pretty nice and honest. Interesting to see if the estimate is too ambitious or where this will end up.

Does he ever need to replenish? I’d be amazed if he sells anything at those prices?

There is a bit about a further “Resale Right” fee of 5% but I cannot understand when it is due or when it applies.
I suppose you mean this:
"Droit de suite is a right granted to artists or their heirs, in some jurisdictions, to receive a fee on the resale of their works of art."
It applies only to works of art (paintings, sculptures etc). The amount is paid out to the artist or his/her estate under certain conditions so that not only the seller of the work of art but also the artist benefit from the increase in value of the work of art.

Well, as somebody who was considering looking into this I am effectively scared whitless that I've encountered eBay 2.0. Best to be warned off I guess.

Here you go, over at the site:

There are several Speedmasters coming up for sale in Sweden. Some might question the salability of so many all at once, and it will be interesting to see the demand and prices realised. In particular there are six 105.012’s. I think it is useful to list all the speedmasters here:

  • Lot 1 145.022-69 $5400 Tropical Dial
  • Lot 6 105.012-65 $5400 Service Pushers otherwise correct DO90
  • Lot 11 105.012-64 $6500 Luminova hands, service pushers DO90
  • Lot 17 105.012-66HF $4850 Service Pushers, DO90 Wrong Bracelet
  • Lot 26 145.012-67 $3800 Tired. White plots. Poor DO90.
  • Lot31A 145.022-69 $6500 Brown Dial, luminvoa hands, DO90
  • Lot 35 105.012 / 145.012 $3250 mismatched case back and midcase
  • Lot 39 145.012 $6500 dial from 105003. Good DO90
  • Lot 49 105.012-66HF $6000 miss matched pushers, good DO90
  • Lot 72 145.022.69 $4350 Good DO90, seems good
  • Lot 76 105.012-66HF $6000 Close spaced T’s Good DO90
  • Lot 79 145.012-67 $5400 1039 bracelet, good DO90, Correct
  • Lot 83 145.022-69 $4100 Fair DO90 Service bracelet
  • Lot 87 145.012-67 $4350 Serviced, later bezel and bracelet
  • Lot 95 2915-2 $130,000 Believed original family
As ever remember the buyers premium totaling 22.5%. There is a bit about a further “Resale Right” fee of 5% but I cannot understand when it is due or when it applies.

Well a lot of discussion about 'The Big One', but I'm interested to know what the general feeling is with regard to the other vintage Omega Speedmasters that were offered for sale.

William. Is there any chance that you may add a post-auction summary to your March 2019 article? http://speedmaster101.com/2019/03/

Well... Many of them were in mediocre condition, or as I call them Meh condition.... Was bidding on Lot 1 and 76 until the end, in my opinion the best ones. Luckily I didn’t get these, as I got something better. More to follow... 😀

What's up with the bezel print on lot 35 (145.012-67 CB)?
Anybody buy this watch? I’m curious if we can confirm a misprint / double printed bezel (so I can hunt for one).

I seem to remember reading recently a ridiculous story of a double 9 Rolex explorer. Although that didn’t make me want a Rolex, I’d like to know what people think about double printed bezels.
