That is a LOT of vintage Speedmasters for one auction. Probably too many

Yes, i think the same. Too many for one auction. Possibly many hoping to "cash in".
I have the feeling that the hype is, maybe temporarily, over. Lots of unsold objects all over the world.

Again, you're right. I haven't checked the watches yet.

Is there something off with the 2915's dial? Numbering and the track just look like they've been Tipp-Exed in.

Not all speedmaster that are being auctioned off around the globe can be collector grade. Cut bukoswskis some slack. For the most part the watches have some incorrect hands and/ or bracelets. Something that can be easily fixed (albeit not cheap anymore).
I‘ll be watching this auction closely just for fun. The estimates seem low across the board, even with the watches having some wrong parts.
But there are some nice pieces in this auction with pretty sharp cases and good/nice DON bezels, a low winning bid and some post auction TLC and someone possibly ends up with a very nice watch.

On the other hand, I would be unplesently suprised if I send my watch in for service and the movement comes back looking like this (lot 29).

This is going to be interesting to see how these finish up. We could do with a @ewand special summary on this auction.

Here you go, over at the site:

There are several Speedmasters coming up for sale in Sweden. Some might question the salability of so many all at once, and it will be interesting to see the demand and prices realised. In particular there are six 105.012’s. I think it is useful to list all the speedmasters here:

    • Lot 1 145.022-69 $5400 Tropical Dial
    • Lot 6 105.012-65 $5400 Service Pushers otherwise correct DO90
    • Lot 11 105.012-64 $6500 Luminova hands, service pushers DO90
    • Lot 17 105.012-66HF $4850 Service Pushers, DO90 Wrong Bracelet
    • Lot 26 145.012-67 $3800 Tired. White plots. Poor DO90.
    • Lot31A 145.022-69 $6500 Brown Dial, luminvoa hands, DO90
    • Lot 35 105.012 / 145.012 $3250 mismatched case back and midcase
    • Lot 39 145.012 $6500 dial from 105003. Good DO90
    • Lot 49 105.012-66HF $6000 miss matched pushers, good DO90
    • Lot 72 145.022.69 $4350 Good DO90, seems good
    • Lot 76 105.012-66HF $6000 Close spaced T’s Good DO90
    • Lot 79 145.012-67 $5400 1039 bracelet, good DO90, Correct
    • Lot 83 145.022-69 $4100 Fair DO90 Service bracelet
    • Lot 87 145.012-67 $4350 Serviced, later bezel and bracelet
    • Lot 95 2915-2 $130,000 Believed original family
As ever remember the buyers premium totaling 22.5%. There is a bit about a further “Resale Right” fee of 5% but I cannot understand when it is due or when it applies.

I think the Speed_Meister chop shop might be at Bukowski’s replenishing inventory.

    Thanks @Spacefruit

That's how the thread should have looked like from the beginning.

I picked a few of them to examine myself to compare against other peoples finds/opinions. Good was to learn =)

Hardest part are pushers/crown for me and the condition of the dial. And lume/relume ofcourse.

Will be really interesting to follow these auctions.
