·One misnomer is that the 1963-1970 Seamaster 300 only shipped with the 1039 flat link bracelet with the blingy polished outer links.
But there is ample evidence to confirm that Omega was also shipping the 300 with the newer 1116 bracelet as early as 1967.
In fact, it appears the 300 was shipping with either bracelet for the last couple years of production.
I tried a 3861 (1116 replica) bracelet on a Watchco and it wore fine and maintains the original late 1960s factory look.
The 1116 is a historically correct alternative on a late 60s 300 if you don't want the highly reflective bling of the 1039.
