Question re: Seamaster font

Hey OF,

I have a question re: Seamaster font. I'm seeing two types of "Seamaster" text...One of them uses the curved S, as per below:

Whereas most that I see use the following:

Are there particular date ranges, or models/calibers/references that reliably use one font over another?

Here’s one of my Seamasters that has the coat hanger S, SN dates it back to 1962.

Serial number can be plus or minus a year or two.

Serial number dates the watch to 1961/2. I generally round up to account for the possible delay in assembly.

As you can see there are also different types of coat hangers and also variation in the curved S, (small upper curve, large upper curve)
