Question on Speedy 57 Trilogy and CK2998 reissue

Good Morning OF, has anyone tried taking the stainless steel bracelet from the limited edition Speedmaster 57 Trilogy and put it on a FOIS or CK2998 (blue or pulsometer)? I see that both watches are 19mm between the lugs but per the Omega website, the Speedy is 38mm and the FOIS is 39mm.

Thanks in advance for your help.

It would also be helpful to know if you can order the stainless steel bracelet from the Speedy Trilogy and then buy the FOIS without having to buy both watches? My guess is no but thought I'd ask...

Thanks,
Jeff

I’m curious on how this would look as well. I definitely find bracelets more comfortable than leather straps. When I bought my CK2998 pulsometer at the OB, I asked them which bracelets would fit the CK, they actually suggested the trilogy 57 bracelet. I assume that this combo would fit and that they could order the bracelet for me. I never pulled the trigger as I only have worn the CK a handful of times, but still possibly interested in this combo.

I have heard it said mulitple times that the Speedmaster LE bracelet wont fit the FOIS easily for some reason, perhaps to do with hole placement. I would be wary of buying before you are sure. As an experiment, I attempted to fit the Seamaster LE bracelet (which is nearly identical to that on the Speemaster but has different end link markings and possibly a slightly different profile) to my Ed White. This was snug but actually worked. Of course the Ed White is not the FOIS, but it may offer some hope and an idea of how it would look. I haven't kept it on this, was just playing about.

I’d try the speedy racing bracelet on the ck2998. The sporty style suits that watch from the photos I’ve seen.

I did read some time ago that the bracelet from the LE would not fit, but having seen the picture of the seamaster bracelet above I can only assume that’s rubbish and it would indeed fit.

I can say for certain that the lug holes on the CK are positioned differently than on the Trilogy Speedy. When I purchased my Pulsometer, I looked into it.

If memory serves, some people played around with different end links but I cannot remember if there was any success there.

Why dont you try the well known 1125 with 617 end links?

I'm not a huge fan of the 1125 bracelet. IMO, it feels cheap and tinny. Perhaps I'm just used to modern bracelets from Omega PO's and Rolex that I use to compare all other bracelets too.

That bracelet looks amazing on your Ed White! I'd keep it on for a while and see how you like it.

It's really good looking... until you turn your wrist upside down and there you see that massive and disproportionate buckle that simply kills it.

Then the speed racing bracelet may be what you are looking for. Pic of mine on fois. It’s very solid
