Hi everyone, apologies if this is the wrong thread for a question like this. I recently acquired this lovely omega from my father. I would like to know a bit more about it such as history, year, model etc. Do any resident experts recognise it just from the picture? Many thanks

Can you post some better photos. It's not so important to show the strap, focus more on the watch itself, in better lighting, from front and back, especially if there are any numbers.

My dad has something very similar in solid gold on a bracelet. It's a quartz model dating to the late 1980s. From memory it is tied up with some artist or other and was concurrent with the yin/yang models which look similar. I'll try to dig out further info. It wont have mega value as they are quite small at around 35mm and quartz watches from that era are rather out of vogue.

It seems the watch in question is actually a little older than I thought at mid 1980s (one similar model I found was dated 1985), it definitely shares a case design with the Yin&Yang models so if you search on that phrase with Omega, or try 'Omega Symbol' you'll see similar but differing in dial and hands. It seems my Dad's model is in fact slightly later at 1992 and has a different bezel so isn't much use as a comparison.

EDIT: I found it, search on case number 196.0316, its a 32mm unisex model known as the DeVille Symbol.
