(First post here, sorry if I posted in the wrong section. (Admin / moderator, please move my thread to the right section).
I just bought an Omega Constellation ref 123.10.38.22.01.001 from chrono24. The watch comes on the stock bracelet. (I’ll add pictures to this post). I want to know if I have any options to have this watch on a strap also, like the new 39mm Constellation. Don’t get me wrong. The bracelet is 1/2 of the watch’s magic. I love it. I just wish to have a strap option in case I’ll want this watch with me, on a formal occasion.
I searched and found out that the strap should be 25x14mm (detailed below).
I even ordered a deployment clasp from ebay, but that’s 20mm.
Before you judge me, please note that Omega doesn’t offer me the option to order a strap for this watch.
So… I searched the asian market and found some replica straps for Constellation. I won’t get the links here since I don’t want to promote fake sh*t, but I’ll attach a picture.
My questions, regarding the story and the pictures attached:
1. Is there a place where I can buy a strap that will fit my 38mm watch?
2. Is there a way that de 20mm deployment clasp will work with an 18mm width strap?
3. Did anybody else managed to get this version of Constellation on a strap?
4. Does anybody sell an 18mm deployment clasp? (Ofc, Omega, not aftermarket)
5. Anybody that have this watch, can measure the small parts indicated with “X”, “Y” and “Z” in the pictures?
In the pictures is my model of Constellation (38mm with the Cal. 8602) and also the new version (39mm with the engraved numerals on a steel bezel, not the 41mm with the ceramic + liquid metal numerals).
I’ll get back with the actual pictures of my actual watch (still waiting for the customs to do their job so I can receive my watch, but those are the pictures sent by the dealer from where I bought the watch).
PS: I know the 38mm may be a big headache due to the nature of the size, but I wanted the simetric day-date (date at XII and day at VI… and also, had a great price 😀
PPS: And yes, I know the ODC guys will notice the day-date background to be white instead of the dial’s black… I guess I’ll have to live with this 😀
