My PO is very legible. The time pops out at a quick glance. It might be the shape of the hands or the slightly different blue. If I do tilt it, it's to admire the changing dial as opposed to reading the time.
Note that I owned an Apollo 8 DSOTM briefly. That was a hard watch to read the time. The PO Summer blue is easier to read than a vintage speedy IMO.
I have no negative experience with the caseback on the wrist. I find the PO very comfortable, possibly due to the smaller case size. It lays well on my 7.25 inch wrist. It is a tall watch, but I am getting used to seeing that.
Btw. I took it to Japan. This was the first time I needed a highly accurate watch. Those trains leave exactly on the minute and you better be on it or it's gone.
