Question about the dial of my Omega Constellation

Hi OmegaForum

I got this little feeling about the dial of my 168.005. It seems like an onyx is missing next to the date with only a “dot”. After comparing to other watches with the same reference I have only seen one watch with the same dot. I’ve asked my local watchmaker, who said it was nothing, however I’m not convinced.
Therefore I’m asking the experts on this extraordinary forum. Am I missing an onyx or not, and can I find some more info eventually?

Hi @RasmusS89, a better photo would be helpful. You might try taking the watch outside to get better light. Not sure about the dot, but that is a beautiful dial. I'd like to see a better shot even though the dot is visible in the photo.

I’ll try to take a better picture tomorrow outside. Until then I have this a bit brighter.

Am I missing an onyx or not,
Your markers are lumed not onyx. What I suspect you are missing is a small lume pip.

Your dial had a small hour marker next to the date window. It was attached to the dial by a foot and the dial had a hole for that foot to fit on. After a while, it felt off and left the hole there, a watchmaker filled it with a lume dot to cover it up
If you are still in doubt, remove the dial and have a look on the other side.

Your dial looked like this long time ago. But remember, not all lumed dial have that small hour marker, lots of them have nothing there.
