Hi guys! I'm new to this forum and in buying vintage watches in general. I found this vintage seamaster 1958 cal 420 on the internet and being a newbie not sure if I should pull the trigger. I adore it though! The dial I find odd because it's just the 12-hour numeral that's there. I'm not sure the indexes have been replaced or maybe it's just how omega configured it back then. I'd really appreciate your help on this one.

Looks good to me! I've seen watches with numerals on a part of the dial and indexes on the other plenty of times, I don't see this as a sign that something is wrong.

Its possible that some bridges have been replaced in the movement however - it all should be the same colour in there

Can you upload the actual listing photos rather than screenshots? Or send the link?

Crown is incorrect for sure. Dial I’m not sure yet.

Thanks. In addition to the wrong crown, someone refinished the case at some point - the sides and caseback didn't originally have that brushing and the "Seamaster" and "Waterproof" text on the caseback is now gone. As for the dial, the fonts look good.. the two-tone dial texture looks a bit odd to me but it may be the doctored up photos.

Overall, far too expensive for what it is IMO (by 2x at least).
