Need help identifying a vintage Seamaster

I just recently purchased my first vintage omega on eBay. The listing was from an estate sale and stated it was a 1960s Seamaster Deville. There was not much additional information other than that.

I know the early models did not have “de vile” printed under seamaster on the dial. I was hoping to get some help in narrowing down the exact model this is and if there is anything that may not look right.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I don't have a good feeling about the dial.

I have to agree with Dan.
The dial is very good but I suspect it's been redone. Look at the index batons at 10 (or all on the left side of the dial) where the ink markers are showing, but not on the right side.

Other than that, it looks legitimate.

Here are a couple more pics of the dial. Does have “T Swiss made T” at the bottom just under the 6 o clock if that helps at all

Reference KL6292, stamped right inside the back.

This is an American market watch, cased locally by Ross.

I vote refinish on the dial as well.

We need better photos of the dial. Ideally we’ll lit/natural light and front on.

However I’m going to go against the grain slightly and say from what I can see on those poor pictures, I think the dial is original.

I've been following the thread but always doubt my ability to spot a redial, unless it’s a really bad one.

So, having read @Davidt's post, I’m sticking my head above the parapet and saying that, like David, I can’t see anything that makes me feel it’s a redial, particularly with the poor photos.

Sorry, using my phone camera to try to get what pictures I can. What shots/angles will help out and I’ll do my best to post them?

From the fairly poor pics we have, I think that is straight. The SM font and brushing looks original, but I can't see enough of the track to judge that properly.

Here are some additional photos. Hope these are a little better. Only so much I can do with my phone. Let me know if there may be any specific photos and I’ll do what I can to get them

Thanks everyone for the input. Secondary question, if it were a redial, what would a fair price be? Same question if it is not a redial.

I vote original dial and $4-500USD due to heavily polished case and GF.

Going against the grain, redial.

There should be no printed minute ticks at the hours and the ones that are there are not aligned properly, the lume is much to bright and white.

Considering the overall rather tired condition of the watch, although not unheard of the super clean dial just doesn't fit.

I'm in agreement. The printing looks better in the newer photos, but those ticks at the hour markers are really bothering me.

The printing looks generally fine, especially ‘Seamaster’. But, on the new photos the ‘AUTOMATIC’ text is a bit on the piss and those minute markers can’t be right. So I’m changing my view. It’s a redial but one of the better one.

Either way, a good entry level Omega that 10 people worldwide would spot or care.

in at $3-500 and out over $600 either way.

Enjoy your watch.
