that's a beauty, even better if it is the onyx inlay hour markers. i prefer the date-free for a cleaner dial, and that one is really clean. congrats!

For real? My offer was higher than that, strange

No. I was just kidding. Thus, the Lol after my comment. I don't think that watch would have lasted 60 seconds if that was his bottom line.

After a bracelet and service I'll be about where the value should be based on my review of past sales.

Some 167.005 in this transition time had mixed hour markers. The ones at 12/3/6/9 had onyx inserts and the rest had black paint on top.
This one looks like one of these.

Another superb nugget of observational information from @hoipolloi

Thank you both very much.

Looks like I’m just going to go through life without knowing what day it is. Or I could just buy another vintage Omega with a date complication. 😀
I like the no date on that. Really shows the clean dial. Each day only has 24hrs so it’s all good anyway. Great catch you have

Yes, I have to agree with that assessment. As I sail the sea of vintage Constellations, I’m sure I will end up with a pie pan including date complication for the collection. It will only happen, though, if it meets all other criteria including something special about the history or rarity of the particular example.

Received the watch today. As is often the case, looks even better in person. Excellent seller. Added a spare NOS crystal as a bonus.
