Hello omega watch enthusiasts. My dad handed this watch to me which I wore today for the first time. Unfortunately the crown has popped off. Is the crown easily to replace? What do i need to do get it back running again? What parts do I need?

If you could point me to the right direction that be greatly appreciated I am based in Sydney Australia. Sitting here feeling gutted. 🙁 Thanks in advance.

If the crown and the stem both came out (which looks to be the case), then it will be easy to re-insert. It appears to be a unishell case, which may have a split stem. More photos will help. Can you show a photo of the rear of the case and also what was removed (crown and stem).

If the crown/stem were lost, then it would be helpful to have the reference and caliber numbers for the watch, and you may need an expert to open it to get that information.

Monocoque case?
Split (male/female) stem?

Do you have the crown that came off?

Hi Jim, I have no idea how to open the case.
I was turning the crowning to adjust the time, I might have pulled too hard and the crown popped off and cannot be found.

When you refer to rear case do mean that back of the watch?

Thanks for your input.

Unfortunately I don't have the crown that came off so I don't have a reference point. I'm so gutted.

Firstly, look harder for the part that came off. If you can find it, you will save yourself a lot of trouble. Look and look again. Get down on the floor with a flashlight and approach the area from every direction. Get all your friends to help.

If you absolutely can't find it, take the watch to a watch repair expert so they can open the case and get the reference and movement numbers. Hopefully they will also know how to find replacement parts. If not, come back and post that information to this thread and someone may be able to give you parts numbers for the crown and stem. But even then, you will probably need an expert to help you acquire those parts and install them.

Thanks everyone. I will send it off to a watch maker to fix it. Thanks for your time.
