I think that GMT PO is a given...

probably Sedna everywhere, and more options on the Gauss...

those are Easy predictions though...

I'd like to see more with the Deville line...a moon phase would be great...

PO GMT for sure, the titanium LM 42mm and 37.5mm have already gone up on the site... There'll be another new Speedmaster LE. I'd imagine we'll see some new dial and strap/bracelet options for the new Speedmaster Racing with its Co-axial Chronometer movement.

Likely some new watches using Sedna coloured gold.

A titanium version of the Ploprof 1200

Maybe a new historic or specialty piece too?

Yes, I had forgotten about the LM ti - but even further heightens my anticipation/apprehension --
they have announced so many already...this is either going to be a let down of just showing us things we have already seen, or there is a show stopper behind the curtains that they did not want to deter from the other new models...

I'm really hoping the latter - Omega has really invested in the movements and the novelties -- I have to think that a new novelty is waiting to be revealed... something to compete with the Sky-Dweller perhaps..

Honestly I don't think competing with the Skydweller is Omega's aim, they've got Breguet to handle that segment of the market. As for the Skydweller itself, its just not a watch that makes much sense to me honestly, if you were prepared to spend Patek perpetual calendar money, for a perpetual calendar, why would you go buy a Rolex :\

I'd take the Patek 5396 every day over the Skydweller

Ha...that has always been my line!

I've always said that I would never spend Patek money on a Rolex...but, from what I am led to believe by the ADs with whom I speak, the skydweller has been incredibly popular!

I don't think that any prospective Sky-dweller buyer is trying to decide between a SkD and a Breguet...I think they just want the most expensive 'ROLEX'....for them to make an ostentatious, gaudy, loud design makes perfect sense, because I imagine the wearerr to be someone who wants to scream for attention...

the number of people buying who are true horophiles are probably the minority....
like it or not Omega has been gunning for that same brand recognition and identification as a veblen item..

So I think that there will be an answer for the Skydweller, just as there was an answer for 'Cerachrom' and the DeepSea...

From my contacts at Omega - they really see it as a 2 horse race...and fear Cartier more than Breitling or Tag...

Cartier will always be a jewellery brand to me but then I'm a bit biased 😉

Maybe we'll see a limited edition Speedy that has a flight theme? It's been done before, namely with the various Moonwatch editions and more recently with the Solar Impulse. It would make sense.

And I really don't get how they haven't done a lunar complication with the DeVille line yet. Maybe too much overlap with GO?

I think its just that the only moonphase movements Omega have are the Cal 1866 and Cal 7751 which always end up being Speedmasters

They could always use a 71x with a module like they did in the late 70's and 80's.

I still think that the Omega dress line demands a phase de lune....I can't really think that the Swatch group is considering competition between brands...I think that the modern watch buyer walks in wanting 'an Omega' or 'a Glashutte' or 'a rolex' or what have you...

This is the whole logic behind the Boutique model...if someone wanted a Glashutte moon phase, they go to the glashutte retailer...if they want an Omega Moonphase, they go to an Omega boutique... I think it is the minority that now walks into Tourneau and says, 'show me a watch'...

I can't imagine that GO and Omega are competing for the same customer...

(of course, having said this, it is true that the Swatch group doesn't allow brand ambassadors to compete within a given sport...I've never understood that, but when I asked why Omega has no Tennis stars, I was told that Longines has Tennis...likewise, no other Swatch brands in Golf...seems silly to me, especially with Rolex so heavy in Tennis...and again I can't see anyone who wants an Omega or rolex being swayed by a longines...no matter how great a value the Longines are.)

Great points across the board. Maybe Omega will pull a fast one and do a two-fer; A Museum Dynamic moonphase.😉

EDIT- I meant Cosmic, not Dynamic. Then I went on WatchRecon and saw someone was already selling one, so apparently I need to study up on my museum releases.

I only have one wish list: new pie pan dial with arrowhead marker in Deville Coaxial case.
No need fancy Sedna, Stainless Steel case would be sufficient as long as the arrowhead markers are in Rose Gold....with Cal 8500.

I'll take a Sedna RG case, but a 2500D would be sufficient so they can keep it close to the size of the vintage Constellations.

I think that we will see more leather goods and Jewellery as well...

So help me...I think we may see a handbag or two - I really don't want to see it go in that direction, but I'm kind of sensing that in the trends lately...

The Watch Gods would really do that to us?
Well...I am of 2 minds on the matter -
A few weeks ago at the Chanel boutique in Toronto - My wife was busy with the bags and jewellery while I tried to keep busy looking at the watches...
too bad it was Chanel...

I remember thinking that If we were at an Omega Boutique, and she could be kept distracted...it would really help me out...

At the same time...I feel that any further Brand diversification is going to detract from the idea of Omega as a serious Watch house...
(although I must admit that I do have a Bottle of Aqua Terra Cologne, and it is pretty darn good stuff)
