What are the forum predictions of the next limited edition and how soon?

 

Not to be outdone by Fratello and the 'dink, ABTW will be next in line to do a 'variation on a theme' for the CK2998.

 

I think it's probable that Omega shall come up with a limited edition to commemorate the 50th anniversay of the moon landing, in 2019.

 

We don't have enough LE's. Omega should create a Speedmaster Launch Pad 39A LE. Yup......the pad that launched the Apollo missions. After that, Omega can "launch" the 39B Speedmaster........brilliant I say!!

Robert-Jan just posted about Chuck Maddox and suggested several possible “limited edition Chuck Maddox” watches at the end of the blog. Considering his ongoing relationship with Omega and LEs, I would not be surprised to see one of them show up.

 

If I were Omega I would reduce the amount produced to 500 or fewer per example. Everyone loves stuff they can not get. At least I'm guilty of it.

 

As of me I won’t buy anything anymore that is not commemorative of the space programme.

 

The last buying experience of the Ultraman was so bad, and without any customer care, that I will not be bothered with any new LE’s anymore.

Leaves my wallet open for more vintage Omegas that give me more pleasure than these “LE of the month” editions.

 

There must be something coming related to the moon landing for next year. Maybe not the next LE version, but perhaps a FOIS actual full replica?

If I were Omega, I would get James Bond to wear two or three watches in one film.
A seamaster for scenes where he gets submerged, a speedmaster for car chasing scenes, and a globemaster or a de-ville for when he womanizes wearing a black suit.
That way, Omega could promote 3 watches in one film, and a boxed set would have a bit more practical meaning.

 

A blue soleil dial would be the ultimate Speedy Tuesday (with a focus on 'less is more')... subtle blue color on a stepped dial, applied logo, creamy fauxtina, concentric rings on all sub-dials, please take my money now!
