They are pretty watches. They'd be a lot less pretty, in my opinion, if they started making them 45 mm across with several superfluous indexes around the dial. Like other machines, watches should not twice as big as they have to be in order to do their job.
I think Omega does make some large, modern piepans. I'll leave you to google for them, though, because I don't like to look at them.

I suggest a google picture search for "transitional 69" and you will forever want to have pie instead... (make sure there is no one important or underage around when googling) 😉
