This watch was made in (1911-12) Based on serial archives but I may be wrong. I got it because I believe these old rare watches need to be preserved for future collectors.. The dial is original yet has damage unfortunately. I'm thinking of sending to Longines head quarters Switzerland for restoration but I'm on the fence as to have the dial restored or get a NOS from them or just leave it. The crown and hour ,Minute hands are not original. I think this old timer needs to be revived. . Lets congratulate this baby for surviving. It give's us a look into the past regardless of its condition. Its still beautiful.

Nice watch, silver version is hard to get. The medal count would date the watch much later than 1912.
Hi..I thought so as the style was different from the early models .I just went by the serial and the website that provides dates of manufacture based on serials. I'll get the info from Longines soon.
However based on the same medal count this watch is listed as a 1915 model

Also this one with archives cert with same 297 serial as mine from 1917

This is really weird! what are the chances!
Check this one out on Ebay!
https://www.ebay.ca/itm/1914-LONGIN...825652?hash=item3afabd7db4:g:DkUAAOSwvTpaNEbi
This movement is numbered 2976645
Look at the number on my case
2976647!!
But its really weird how after all this time such close serial numbers are found! Wow!

Thanks for your comments.
