Three aspects of Eterna, spanning a dozen years.

Incidentally - it was quite striking that when I got these out for their photo, each one of them re-started immediately, unwound and unworn. That's something you might expect from a "Pellaton" IWC, but here was a reminder that this less exalted brand was right up there technically.

Ha! What can I say? I’m a sucker for central minute chrono movements. Thank you for the welcome.

Collection of Sinns...

Oh man, I really want an EZM 10. How do you like it? Lately, I'm thinking of focusing on Sinn for my collection. The older I get, a tough no nonsense tool watch just speaks to me more and more.

I’m calling dibs on the gold cased, black dialed example on the left. Those hands are marvelous.🥰

Seiko, from 1969 to 1971:
6159-7001 from 1969. Resist dial.

6139 6000 from June of ‘69. Got this one from an OF member several years ago

6138 8000 from 1971, I find the cream dial pairs nicely with the brown Seiko strap.

A great post, so many awesome watches.

There are a (small) handful of us that are smitten with vintage Breitling.

All three of those are on my hit list: dibs, dibs, dibs 😁

My lord, did they apply the lume with a putty knife on that sub?!?!😲

I dunno, JW… I’d never kick that out of my watchbox.

haha yea. That one is a family heirloom, though my uncle doesn’t remember all of what he had done to it over the years. It geigers and UVs but I don’t really care too much one way or the other. It’s fun, pleasant to look at, and I don’t have to worry about value.

No, it’s so thick!! Not poo-poo’ing it at all, it’s lovely…just so much lume!

Here's the same trio in the 1936 catalogue. Notice they mention a platinum buckle and finest gray calfskin strap. The Rutledge was Hamilton's top-of-the-line model at the time: $175 during the height of the depression was a chunk of change.
Just to complete the Hamilton/Longines comparison, below is an advert that is apparently from 1937. At the bottom left is a "Platinum Presentation Strap Watch" with a price of $200.
