I'll play too

First set with Eternas (actually I'll improve this set by replacing the left one eterna matic with a new one which is on its way to me with similar case as the other 2 😀 )

Second set with Tissot Chronos (Lemania equipped)

I'll have to look at which omega I have could make a nice trio 😀 I'll add this later on.

^ Love that case style. No compromises there!

Thanks 😀

Here are 3 omega trio sets.

First one, with 40s/50s : a 30T2 and 2 seamaster 2846 (I think I will improve those trio set in the future : I'll have a similar 30T2 Denison case coming and I've always wanted to find a nice suveran, And now that I have 2 seamaster 2846, I honestly would like a 3rd one 😉)

The second one with 60s omega : a 61 constellation pie pan, a 63 seamaster 166.009 and a C Case constellation 168.017 from 68 (here again I can imagine moving this trio combination as I would also love at some point to add a SS constellation pie pan and also I was first in love with a flutted bezel 168029):

And finally a trio of master chrono 861/1861 caliber : 145018, 145029 and FOIS
(I'll be able to add this year a 145022 and hopefully a 145014 which will enable a trio of speedy and if the gods of omega favors me I would love to add a 146.017 at some point)

I realize posting this how sick I am... with all those crazy desires burning my soul 😝
Have a good day and a good weekend !

Love the EZM10. I am a fan of Sinn, obviously. The EZM10 is no longer in production. I don’t think it made business sense to carry on as it was expensive to produce relative to its sales price. I also have a Crepas Magnum Opus chrono and I must say I am very impressed with the quality. It also has a central minute register for the chronograph.
Oh man, I really want an EZM 10. How do you like it? Lately, I'm thinking of focusing on Sinn for my collection. The older I get, a tough no nonsense tool watch just speaks to me more and more.

6105-8110, 57GS, KS 5256-8010 special (do not have a seiko chrono yet)

Until @TexOmega introduced Gruen to the thread, I wondered if they were forbidden. Now that he broke the ice, here are three of mine. The top one is a “driver’s” watch with articulated lugs so it can be worn on the edge of the wrist. It, and the black faced Veri-Thin were a gift from a fellow who was managing director for Gruen in Canada, when the company folded. They hadn’t been worn when I acquired them.

I'm very confused by that top photo? is it half and half stitched together? haha

edit. oh wait, refraction of an unusual crystal I guess?

Exactly! The crystal has four flat planes, meeting at the centre of the dial. @Duracuir1 showed his exact same Gruen “driver’s watch” recently, in the WRUW forum. The hinged lugs allow the watch to be worn on the edge of the wrist. A handy feature in an era of Armstrong steering, and plan-ahead braking!

3 Eras(30's 50's 70's) of dress watches by Gruen. I have a stash(big bag)of Gruen crystals. Had this one to replace a cracked one when I bought.

Yeah, bring it ALL out - you’re each and collectively making me feel very reasonable in what little “collection” I’ve got.

@Dan S : show us a curated 3 watch collection

Pocket Watches are like the Neanderthals when met by Homo Sapiens....dominate at first....interbred with parts from each, then out-competed and replaced completely with only vestiges here and there..... and then finally displayed like dinosaur bones to a gawking public of what came before.

No respect, I say!!😁

@TexOmega ,

You’re right to a degree. The pocket watch has been rendered an artifact, yet our little Pocket Watch Buffs thread has had 54,503 views, and 1719 posts, and it is just over one year old! And we have gained a number of converts over that time. Notably, @Alpha and @noelekal among probably many others. Let’s face it, pocket watches simply are more interesting than other types of timekeepers! They are three dimensional, in that they have had a 350 year evolution, are interesting externally and internally, and they have a history. To collect some types of watches, much of what is required is just money. With pocket watches, most of what is required is a love of what has gone before, and desire to honor the past.

Also, they are where they are without a whole lot of hyperbole as uncovered in slick watch ads of today.

Glad to have a double handful helping push this boulder uphill, it was getting tiresome.......👍

This is a "game" I play with my collection all the time. Dividing the watches into sets and subsets. It's likely why I continue buying, nothing ever leaves, and the collection just grows. Everyone one of them "belongs" and I can't break up the set. A new set has just been realized and it's the one I'm going to work on in the near future.

It will consist of the Damasko DA46 w/12hr bezel. I bought this one about four years ago. I've toyed with selling it but I think I have to keep it. It makes a good travel watch for me as it has a date and makes it easy to keep track of a second time zone.

DC86 Orange w/5-55 bezel. The DC86 uses a modern movement that operates quite like the Lemania 5100 which is a great chronograph movement in most people's eyes. It just makes sense.

The DSub50. Every collection has to have a diver and DSub50 is certainly worthy.

Damasko has some neat technology and I like the designs. These particular watches are not pretty or dressy watches but they serve their purpose. At least for me.
