Colman Domingo worn an unreleased full gold Speedmaster in Met Gala 2025.

The dial looks like a ST1.

Doubtful it is a ST3 as ST was a community based movement - don't think the optics of charging 30k+ for a full gold speedy is the vibe that fratello go for

Side note, while the speedmaster has a rich history of being in yellow gold stemming from the BA, this model looks far too similar to the Rolex Daytona 126528LN (Le man yellow gold), will hold judgement until seeing at OB or better press photos but feels a bit of a copy move

Yeah, I edited the thread title to reflect what I mean.

This is new Speedy, just unreleased, confirmed by Omega website: https://www.omegawatches.com/stories/omega-shines-at-the-met-gala-2025

Quote their words:

Celebrated for his commanding performances and impeccable style, Colman Domingo arrived at the Met Gala wearing an unreleased Speedmaster watch in 18K gold.

Having said that I would love a ST3 - theres been quite a few threads on the topic, speculation at one point was it would be a X-33 but think they should keep it the classic 42mm moonwatch case - maybe a red racing dial ?

That would be fantastic😎

Unfortunately, I have zero chance to get it if released, since it will be sold online like ST1/2 (is that right?). There’s no OB near my place.

AFAIK the ST editions were sold exclusively online, so no OB would help you for ordering one.

Oh, so they are preparing another golden speedy that no one will buy, great. Just wait for secondary market and get one at 60% retail price. Didn't the white dialled speedy show Omega that when they release something the comunity wants, they sell them like icecream in summer?

Gold Speedmasters don't seem to sell very much at all. The OB near me has been open for ~1 year now, and the SA I've been dealing with mentioned last time that he's yet to sell a gold Speedmaster.

The white Speedy, as @Tag0935 said, shows there IS an appetite for new/interesting Speedmasters (as does the pilot version!) in that price range, and that it'll be quite popular.

I'm guessing though that folks going to the Met Gala aren't the kind to wear a stainless watch 😀

Just give us hesalite with a cool racing dial, something like the 2004 japan racing and no gimmicky caseback, with a price around the current saphire speed pro. And no limited production please!

Red racing dial! - I had hoped they would do one last year 20 years since the 04 Japan edition? Not a anniversary just a nice new chapter

Omega seems to be out of the business of doing anything special or interesting for their loyal fans, now it is making watches for the mass market. Boring.

I’m not qualified to comment on clothing as art esp when the theme is based on Black Dandyism.

But hey you do you.

Lewis Hamilton was at this soiree as well, and looked just as goofy. He'd be better off focusing on his full time job with Ferrari than this Hollywood nonsense.

How dare a black style icon who was asked to co-chair the charity event, show up in an exceedingly well thought out nod to the theme emphasizing British style through the lens of black Dandyism. Esp when he was already in the US!!!

The moonshine gold green dial Speedy is a pretty stunning watch

This. I know the square root of eff all about fashion but I thought he looked the dog's bollocks!

And let's not forget he has actually won a race this season albeit a sprint one. And in a car that appears to be a bit of a turd, pending and significant upgrades.
