Hello everyone, I’m looking into getting my first polerouter. I don’t really know to much about them really I have looked at a few posts pertaining to the correctness of the dials. I’m not to sure about the one that I’ve found though so I wanted to ask you guys what you thought about it before I go ahead and buy it from this gentleman. The price is really fair compared to what I’ve seen them go for on eBay/C24. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

There are multiple different designs for the polerouter. This deluxe is not the most sought after model. But they are an elegant timepiece imo.
I think it looks original except the crown.
Hard to say anything about the price without knowing what the seller wants. But fair is sub 1400 usd.

Hard to tell from those pics but the side of the lugs seem to have had a nasty polish removing the original finish.

Polished - almost looks like white gold now instead of stainless steel.

It's yellow gold (or maybe rose - hard to tell from pic).

1400 usd is what the seller is asking for it. I’ve found a crown on eBay that might work. Really sucks it’s been polished to death. I can’t seem to find a Nice vintage UG watch that hasn’t been touched by a polishing wheel.

You need some luck... I think will look better in real, as the artifical light on the photos is horrible.
1.4k sounds fair if you consider the condition and missing crown imho

You're looking at the dregs, thats why.
Chrono24 and eBay arent exactly hidden secrets, so when a watch (particularly an 18k polerouter) has been sitting there for month after month, there is usually a good reason.
Excellent examples come up all the time on many different byuing/selling platforms for reasonable prices - and they are scooped up just as fast.
Have some patience, spend more time looking than buying, and nice pieces will come your way. 👍
