They made the lady seamaster at around 22mm an a “mid-sized” Deville at around 31mm (it was a man’s watch), you may have that one. That size is considered small by modern proportions but with a smaller wrist (under 7”) they actually look quite smart. Some of our esteemed members have tiny wrists (as well as some of our female members) and they get the joy of being able to rock these smaller watches at a fraction of the price of their bigger brethren. With your 6.25” wrist, you can have your pick of vintage splendor and they won’t look dainty on you.

I have a 7.25” wrist and about the smallest I can comfortably do without a beefy strap to bulk it up is around 33mm. My vintage military watches are 31-33, but on a nato or leather bund style strap they wear larger.

Oh- and my lady’s wrist is 5.5” and that 30mm watch wears a little large on her, so 31-32mm on you would be in the elegant and tasteful size IMO.

Thanks man! I'm not that entirely afraid to rock a 31mm. I guess I'm just not that used to smaller watches yet. Although, I think the Omega I have is 34mm. If I did my math correctly, it should be 34mm. Here's some pics. What do you think?

    Yeah, that'd be around 34.

Not the best ruler to use for precision as the metal tab has some slop- either 32 without crown or may be 34 with a better measure. Regardless- size is perfect on your wrist.
The watch size debate is always flaring on the forums- some say anything under 40mm is a ladies watch and others think anything over 41mm is for men with small.... well you get the point. As always wear what you like.
I own watches that I wear regularly from 31mm to 44mm, it all depends on the form factor for me. With a thick bezel (like a big diving watch), they car appear smaller than they are because the dial area is actually smaller due to the big bezel. The inverse for watches like yours where the bezel is very slim and the dial is large (not to mention the lovely domed acrylic crystal), so they appear larger than their actual size.
I find that I wear my larger watches in the warm months when I have my sleeves rolled up with bare forearms, and smaller when the weather is cool and I wear long sleeves (thick diver watches catch on cuffs). It’s all a matter of taste- no right or wrong.

That’s said, if you put a 44mm watch on your 6.25” wrist, you would probably find it cumbersome and the length from lug-to-lug most likely overhanging your wrist- that’s actually not a proper fit.

Oh, and you should make a new post in the general discussion section asking for recommendations for a watchmaker in TN- someone in the area should see it there.

Lol yeah the fact that some guys think 50mm Diesel watches make them more masculine is insecurity at its finest. I agree, wear what you like. But yeah I need to invest in a caliper instead of the tape measure. I'm happy with the size though.

What's up my kings! Back at it with a new strap that I'm completely in love with. Quick question: does vintage Omega Seamaster Deville have hacking? Mine does not hack. Thank you

This is probably a really ignorant question but is it correct that the minute hand moves clockwise when I turn the crown counter-clockwise. Out of all my watches, my Omega Seamaster Deville is the only one that does that. My other watches, for example, my Seiko SRPD41, I turn the crown clockwise to set the time forward and vice versa. Can anyone explain?
