Hello!
Please help! I need to replace the crystal for a vintage(1968) gold Omega watch. It fell from my hand and the crystal brake. I'm from Romania(not so much Omega services here-4 actually, and no answers yet). I wrote at Omega also. I really love this watch! Do you have some advices? What to do?

The first thing to try is a local watchmaker. They can often fit a generic crystal. If not, you will need to know the reference number of the watch, which should be inside the caseback. From the reference number, you can find the part number of the crystal, which can help you search.

My guess is that the case and bracelet on this watch were made in Italy, and it is not a model that Omega will carry a crystal for. That being the story, a generic crystal will have to be cut to fit the case. You’ll have to have a watchmaker look after this for you, I suspect.

Send just the broken crystal to one of the firms mentioned in this thread, along with Theo metric dimension from the 12 to the 6, and from the 9 to the 3. Ask for an acrylic crystal close to the sample, and have someone near you cut the new crystal to fit.

It's a US made case (from the OPs other thread), but you are right, Omega would be unlikely to have a replacement crystal.
The only option, as you suggest, is a custom made replacement.
