Hello all.

I have this 1940's watch, no reference number, 32,5-33mm, cal 28 movement that is currently under review and this is a good opportunity to ask for opinions. It does not match any of the references 2432, 2437 I would appreciate any information.

depends on the size of the watch...

what I found in an old catalogue: ref 2529: inner diametre of the bezel 27 mm (=visible part of the dial)

your dial has a diameter of 29 mm, so this might be a match.

Were all gold watches in the 1940s positioned with a reference number? This one looks quite original, no indication that it could be some kind of compilation.

Why do you carry on posting wrong cal. 30 watches? The OP asked for cal. 28 ! You clutter this post with wrong information... hold off when you havn´t got a clue

The pics I posted above have dials in the same configuration as the one in the OP.

The dial pic in your post above does not have the same configuration of indices.

Maybe you can enlighten us as to why the dial in the first post looks appropriate for the 30 series, even though the OP's watch is cal. 28?

For Sweden in 40's was made version JPB, JP(Brandt) from initials of distributor. Dial would match, but they were in more massive cases and 30T2 movement.

This dial also has a different configuration from the one in the original post.

That's right, just to point out the JP Brandt version I borrowed a photo from the Swedish KS forum.

It's not uncommon that dials with similar designs were used for different calibers, and obviously there were MANY different dials used for each caliber, and not all will necessarily be recorded. However, my understanding is that the OP is asking for information about his watch, which has a cal 28, to confirm that it is original and possibly determine a reference number, if any. So I agree with @mac_omega that it is not particularly relevant to post examples of 30mm-based watches.

Does the distance between the center and subseconds center differ between the 30 series and the 28 series, or are the dial feet in different locations? The dials won't easily swap between the 30 series and the 28, correct?

What is certain so far is that dial and movement are original, but were they together from the beginning ?

Looks like the watch has a hairspring problem. Good luck with the repair.

You're exaggerating, you saw a shadow and you think it's a problem
