Hello, Omega Forum! I found a Seamaster 300 3rd Military Cal.562 ST14755 in an auction. I would like to know what you guys think about it. It looks good in my opinion. Please let me know if there is anything I have missed. This is an auction, so the price is not fixed. (Start from 1) Seller has asked Omega for a quote for service. The seller confirmed the quote and cancelled the service. The windshield has been replaced from the original with a genuine Omega plastic domed one. The history of parts replacement is unknown. This is the only photo I have. Sorry. I am using a translation service. Sorry for the strange English.
It is a Vietnamese fake. Assignment number from Knirim book, pointy 3 in the bezel, closed 9 and stubs at the indices. Worth about 80 USD at street markets. also, the 562 is a movement with date, nothing to do with the 165.024.
Kowloon has loads of them too. I suspect this one is Hong Kong manufactured as the bezel knurling is similar and not as well machined as the Vietnam examples I have come across in the Philippines.
The seller tells this story because may be he really has contacted them with a generic enquiry "I have a Seamaster 300" and got an approximate price. Omega Bienne usually quotes in detail after having inspected the watch - and in this case if they had inspected I would think they could have blocked the watch as a fake. Omega Bienne has never seen the watch now, or in the past (only the movement was born in Switzerland).
For reference, here is a picture of the service quote from Omega Japan. The estimate looks correct (then again, I could be wrong...) I wonder if it's an estimate for a different watch... The service includes Complete service from the original manufacturer (A) Complete set of hands Dial replacement Thank you all very much!
Maybe someone at Omega Japan thought "Wow... that is exactly THE 14755 from the 2007 Antiquorum Omegamania auction, that was sold for CHF 40.000 those days. How lucky I am to restore it." Picture source: https://catalog.antiquorum.swiss/en/lots/omega-lot-158-128 So obviously not the 1st neither the last time some Omega "experts" took such an asian replica for authentic.
Is there any reference to exact the SN that the quoted watch has on this service paper? I can’t find any. Otherwise it could be a service quote from any other SM300?!
Unlikely... unless the serviced watch was another fake. Because a 14755 cannot be equipped with a 562 caliber. As simple as that.
All three images are from a single service quote The first image shows the contents of the product. (The watch, the quotation and the nylon strap)
The red circle to the left of the barcode in the upper right corner is a stamp indicating that it was created by 'Tokyo Customer Service' on September 9, 2020. The part hidden by the nylon strap in the upper left corner is the client's address, phone number, and other contact information, so it is hidden.

The serial number field is left blank in the quotation. The service quoted is to send the watch back to the country of origin, replace the dial and hands, and Maker complete ervice. The service price is 90,420 Japanese Yen including tax. Thank you all very much!
