I just watched The Taking of Pelham 123 the other night. Travolta wore two totally different Breitlings (only one was a chrono) and they were featured pretty prominently in closeups in connection with the time limit of the ransom demand. How does nobody catch that while filming?

Was watching the Abyss the other day and it was full of diver watches obviously.
Ed Harris was wearing a Seiko 6309
Mary El. Mastrantonio a Tag Heuer Formula 1 (the one with the plastic bezel)
Another Guy was wearing what i think was Citizen Promaster Aqualand

Give them some slack, they did find the the mayor of NYC a JlC to wear. I thought both Breitlings were chronos, but I'd have to go frame by frame on a computer to be sure.

The original version with Robert Shaw and Walter Mathau was a better movie to my mind, less of the "Fast & Furious", more thoughtful.

The Avengers episode "Murderville".
At 21 minutes exactly Emma Peel spots the high end chronograph that had belonged to a missing officer on the wrist of a village lout.

Not sure but I think it might be a Breitling.

Hmm... Between 20:00 and 21:00, Mrs Peel appears to execute a purple-red-purple costume change during the course of a car ride... 😕

I think that is a case of the fabric looking different because of the lighting.
The images inside the car are lit by studio lights while the exterior shots are lit by natural light.
It was common for synthetic fabrics of the era to have this quality, whether by accident or design.

This mean killer in "Those that Kill" "Den Som Draeber" features a Omega Speedmaster Apollo 11 watch. The killer bragged to the gym membership about his watch. What a narcistic bastard, bragging about his watch.

Henry Fonda wears this thing in Yours, Mine, and Ours.

I can't quite place it. Plenty of you are much more experienced than I am with the old divers. Help me out!

Both Recent Wonder Woman movies feature a Military watch as centre piece to the main theme of love found and lost.

"The Silent Enemy" (1958) is a truly interesting & great World War II movie, based on facts in the life of Royal Navy Commander Lionel Phillip Buster Crabb. Diver wristwatches can be spotted at 27:20 and 44:44 and 1:38:32 clearly detailed at 1:41:29 in the movie.
Submariner 6536 ?
👍

Finally got around to watching "Tenet" last night. The Hamilton didn't actually figure into it a whole lot, just as part of an action setpiece towards the end of the film.

Overall I think the movie was fun, but entirely incoherent.

I hate to have to ask, but, what does WIS stand for?

Watch Idiot-Savant. It's a term of abuse used by watch collectors to describe watch collectors.
