Strangers on a Train last night (quite disappointing), appears to be a Cimier Sport with an unusual dial layout from the basic Rego 144 caliber. Interesting that they went to the trouble of removing the brand name.

 

Its common practice in some countries and time periods to blank out the brand name of watches and clocks shown on film. Don't see why they do this, some copyright or product placement issue I suppose.
I've noticed period films or TV series made in England often use fake vintage watches assembled from junk parts and with a decorative scribble where a brand name would have been. I suppose in that instance its because a genuine antique watch might disappear from the property room.
