Hello please can anyone tell me if this is a genuine vintage Omega Geneve and if the parts are original i.e redial or anything. I am potentially going to purchase the watch today and want to know if it is worth buying. Really appreciate your comments and opinions. I would love to finally be able to purchase my first Omega so really hoping its genuine. Really appreciate your thoughts and comments.
Thanks in advance

Nothing as such just I don't really know much about Omegas. Is it a genuine one then?

I don't wish to seem harsh, but if you don't really know much about Omegas, then you shouldn't be buying just yet.

There are numerous educational links on this forum that will aid you in gaining knowledge and becoming confident enough to identify a possible purchase. If you are still unsure after your assessment, you are always able to seek feedback here.

I appreciate your comments I just want to purchase a nice vintage Omega to wear everyday. Not interested in being a collector.

Wonderful thanks and is it worth buying and how much should I be paying? Thanks again

If you do the most basic research you can answer those questions for yourself.

It's a Genuine Omega with some significant issues.

I would not buy it at any price.

Can't say if some of the jewels are missing or just in very poor condition.
Also, the case-back seems to have come from a different model (with a date feature).

Google the number in the caseback photo and get back to me.

Use "136.0070".

And look at the buckle.

It's just shitty dried up oil and dirt.

So are the jewels missing? And so the only proper issue as its not the original caseback?

you really do want us to do all the work, don’t you? It has clear issues and Jim gave you the reference to do some superficial comparative research.

Just stay away from this one. I see no reason to get it.
This particular reference is rather common, therefore there is no reason for buying this particular watch.
As suggested by the more experienced OF members above this piece has some issues.
I understand you're not a collector and neither am I but this is general watch knowledge we're talking about here. Also, you won't be able to buy this watch and put it on your wrist and call it a day. It will definitely require servicing and judging by the looks of it, it wasn't loved.
Maybe you should consider reading through the educational threads here, trust me, you'll be a smarter buyer and you'll definitely know what to look for. Plus, you'll enjoy the hunt more as it is all a part of the process.
Good luck!
