No, he just authenticated the watch. Running the serial in the database says it’s matches the reference.

Well, to be correct I didn't authenticate the watch. I checked that the photo that was shown is correct for this model - I have no idea where that photo actually came from.

Thx, so if the buyer has exactly this warranty card and a watch which matches this number. Would this be a proper verification of authenticity?

Why do you say if? Shouldn’t they have this exact card?
Yes, the buyer received exactly this warranty card and a matching watch.

im fairly certain that the buyer is not a scammer and that he also doesn't want to reconsider his purchase. He is genuinely interested in verifying this watch, but the omega ad just gave him a hard time today (which i believe since i had similar experiences). The buyer is aware of this thread...

There are Rolex fakes on the market now that have cards with matching #s.
Some really good fake manufacturers take a known real serial (from auctions, websites, purchasing a real one) and will make a ton of fakes with a real serial # matching the model and the fake warranty card.
So again its hard to truly verify anything with a photo.
Some of the fakes the movement even can appear real till you look into the details.

Im really sorry but this doesnt help at all. I know everything about the current high end fakes of Rolex and Omega watches. I also know that they produce fake watches with matching fake warranty cards (omega and rolex). But what i definitely know is that there are no good speedmaster reps around. All speedmaster reps (even the high end ones) have messed up sub dials on 3 and 9.

There are definitely no omega fakes with fake limited edition box sets

Did you buy the watch new? Where did you get it from? And, do you have proof of purchase.

It’s well known that fakes of Speedmaster Pro’s are still to this day, shit. They look like poor versions of the Speedy Reduced with “Professional” on the dial.

HEY BUYER, don't be a dick. Next time, verify authenticity/buy the seller or just go to a dealer before you give the seller your $$$ and a hard time after. If you have buyer's remorse, man up and admit it.

Ahhh right! I remember that. I had a sneaking suspicion right after I posted that, that I recalled reading that not long ago.

I stand corrected 😀

Again this is not true. I know all highend speedy replicas. They have replicated lemania movements which however don’t match the correct subdial spacing. I know what you received but i know for certain that the chinese havent properly replicated lemania yet
