Planet ocean vs seamaster

Hello

I own a few watches; steinhardt, seiko, a few golanas, few smiths, few tayrocks, tag, Rolex and citizen. Would like to get a pre owned omega, but unsure which one that will hold its value.

Looking at a planet ocean and seamaster with watch finder.

Links here: https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Omega/Seamaster 300/233.30.41.21.01.001/26164/item/234386
https://www.watchfinder.co.uk/Omega/Planet Ocean/232.30.46.51.01.002/22251/item/229445

Any suggestions?
Cheers

The planet ocean chrono is going to be much larger than the seamaster if size is a concern. As for holding value, as long you buy pre-owned you'll be fine. You won't make any money but you probably won't lose that much either.

I agree with Lunaen above. Ideally you should try them on if you can. There is a big difference in the two models you have selected in terms of size. The Planet Ocean is the chronograph model and is very chunky. The size may be 19mm thick and 45 case size, I believe. Need a big wrist. The Seamaster s 41mm case and not as thick.

Check the SMP300s as well. There are several versions you may like.
2254.50 is awesome
If you want in-house movements you can go for later configurations of SMP300. I think all your options will hold their value. May even increase if you’re lucky.

Sorry, what’s an SMP?

Holds value…

Sigh…

Holds value when we are experiencing 10% inflation and a global recession is a bit of a unicorn. So probably shouldn’t be overly high in your thought process. Out of the two I’d go for the seamaster on an aesthetic point, find the PO chrono a bit too cluttered, mosh mash of designs.

Don't be a slave to "resale value". That's a Rolex thing. Buy what you truly like. If you do, your watches will hold more value to you, not somebody else. Trust me you'll be happier in the long run.

Resale value on Rolex is also tanking.

it’s an artificial market on non tritium sports watches.
