I have to say, the choice between whatever that Chicago thing is, and the piece of folded cardboard with sauce on it that NYC seems to love, neither are terribly appealing...
Which is why New Haven wins! Better than both! 馃槤

You could try a Glasgow style Pizza. Take a slice of Pizza dip it in batter mix and throw it in the deep-fat fryer. Called a Pizza Crunch. Try having 10 pints before eating, it makes it taste good.

Not just Glasgow as it seems available pretty much anywhere in Scotland 馃槣 and dont forget the irn-bru with it 馃槤

Does nowhere else in the world do a pizza crunch?

Man. I鈥檝e been working with some sour dough starters the past 3 weeks and have had minor success with pizza carrying any vegetables (water logged) since the oven tops out at 550 degrees.

anyone ever used a green egg or some kind of ceramic grill for this?

As a native NYer, I thank you for the laugh. 馃槤
As a pizza-guy who has lived all over the E. Coast I have to say New Haven Ct rocks and the 4 corners can beat many and compete with any in NYC. Sally鈥檚, Pepe鈥檚 or The Spot.... just pick whichever has the shortest line and enjoy!

Do you have a convection function on your oven? That does th trick for mushroom/peppers etc...

From last night, first we made a king trumpet mushroom, goat cheese and basil (forgot to olive oil the crust):

Then we did a flatbread style gluten free for our guests. Korean bbq chicken and mozz with green onion, cilantro and sesame, this turned out to be excellent:

It's a real pleasure to see that the pizza makes all over the world the people in agreement with something.
Being Italian, living in Italy and having the opportunity to eat the best pizza in the world I would say that the pizza is one and shall be with San Msrzano Tomatoes, Mozzarella di Bufala and EVO oil, anything more... but looking at the pizza you made I'm very happy to say anything, just my congratulations for what you made.
Thank you all
Elio
