Still enjoying the apprenticeship in the art of pizza. This time, a white pizza.

Simple cream, potato, a little rosemary topped with Fontina cheese and thinly sliced onion. Wonderful!

Ever been to New Haven, Connecticut? I’ve eaten pizza all over the world and no city does it better.

Is it still a Pizza without the Tomato? That just doesn't look right 😕. Looks good all the same.

The second one, a more classical expression save the chorizo!

Haven't been to New Haven, but have been to Pete's "New Haven Style Apizza" in DC. Good Stuff there!

You could try a Glasgow style Pizza. Take a slice of Pizza dip it in batter mix and throw it in the deep-fat fryer. Called a Pizza Crunch. Try having 10 pints before eating, it makes it taste good.

Not home made, but from the local Italian who are doing takeaway during lockdown.

Nduja, pepperoni and mozzarella.

As someone who used to live in Brooklyn, I’m afraid that the joke is on you. Although there are many standouts, there is also plenty of bad pizza in the five boroughs. But it could be worse. NYC is way ahead of Chicago ...

No doubt that there's plenty of bad, but Brooklyn and Staten Island have the best traditional pizza in the country.

And yes, Chicago is trash.

EDIT- changed to traditional. Thin crust is always a contested battle, and as a passing fan, really can't speak to it. Sicilian is my fave, followed by traditional. Still stand by my claim lol

^Very good, yes. But New Haven is better IMHO. If you haven’t tried it, you should. Roseland Pizzeria in Derby, CT is spectacular. Expect to wait in line. Worth it.

When things blow over, I'll make the trip since I'm a regular visitor to CT. I'll report back with my impressions. You know Montréal has a few fantastic Pizza haunts. Many Neapolitan style pizzerias but traditionally Montréal is closer to New York type pizza.

I have to say, the choice between whatever that Chicago thing is, and the piece of folded cardboard with sauce on it that NYC seems to love, neither are terribly appealing...
