A quick thought on the Gold spec.

This is only my own ideas and foibles and choices. (However as a collector, I doubt I am alone having my choices swayed by seemingly trivial points - I, for one, base a watch purchase 50% on facts and 50% on emotional intuition).

So if there are two identical BA145.022-69's and one has an Oval O and one a round, then I would go for the oval.
I also choose an earlier case back if given the choice. However there is rarely that choice for a buyer.

Not to muddy the waters but Antiquorum has an interesting BA145.022-69:

It not only has the round O dial, but an extremely rare DN90 Burgandy bezel. That is very, very rare. The other odd thing is that it is not part of the numbered series, and it does not have the bracelet. The case back, without a number, is the early design. So late dial, late bezel, early case back but not number. As it has an extract, that is endorsed by Omega, this all makes for an extremely rare watch, and the real question is how will the market value it?

Estimate is CHF 30-50k so that works out incl Premium at USD 41,250 to USD 68,750.

Close s/n 29.117.644 and 29.117.645 are numbers 825 and 826, respectively. 826 confirmed same production date: 11 May 1970.

Both with round O dial, DON bezel and late caseback.

I examined the Soyuz this evening and I confirm this is 305. The 0 is clearly visible, but the other 2 are really really difficult to distinguish.

Lot 198, the 2998-1-ish, just came in at 28k CHF ex premium. IMHO, a high result given the issues known here. Wonder whether these were known to the buyer too...

Can’t have been - there must be half a dozen members here who would let go of -1’s in similar condition/state for less - to total in usd incl premium comes in at $39,150.

wow
